Compact First Aid Kit

Small accidents happen just when you are going about your daily routine. In your home, in your car, at the office, on a hike, you name it, the possibilities are endless. That is why we have designed the Compact First Aid Kit, known for its great value for money and convenient size.

This small first aid kit is ideal as a starter kit. It can be left in your car’s glove box storage compartment or a kitchen drawer, ready for quick access when those unexpected burns or cuts occur.

Versatile

Handy Kit

It has been designed in a very handy, soft, but tough nylon fabric pouch with versatile necessities inside. It’s made to be lightweight and compact, perfect for strapping to your belt with the conveniently designed belt look whilst hiking or carry it in your backpack when you are busy running errands with your children in tow. Because of its space-saving size, you will be glad you took it with you when outdoors or doing recreational activities.

Principles

Following the principles

When applying basic first aid you should always remember your action plan as the abbreviation DRSABCD. This stands for the first aid principles you should follow:

D – Danger – do not put yourself in any danger and check your surroundings are safe.

R – Response – check if the person is conscious or responding to you when you talk or touch them.

S – Send for help – call emergency # 000

A – Airways – Check there is no obstruction in their airway?

B – Breathing – Check for breathing by seeing if their chest rises.

C – CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) – if the person is unconscious and not breathing, ensure they lie flat on their back and do 30 chest compressions followed by 2 breaths until help arrives.

D – Defibrillator (AED) – if an adult is unconscious and still not breathing, you can apply a defibrillator to help jump start their irregular heartbeat and provide an electrical shock to their system.
